On the track: Mario Kart Circuit Track
Mario Kart fans already know the rules. Now they get to play them with their hands. Our Mario Kart Circuit Track is inspired by a course from the video game, and it comes with two die-cast racers ready to go: a Mario kart and a Yoshi kart. Load them into the launchers, switch on the booster and they're off around the track and through the inverted loop.
Just like in the game, racing clean isn't the only strategy. Hit the green turtle shell button and shell obstacles can knock an opponent off the course and into the pit. Color-coordinated lap-counting flags keep score as the karts circle, and the first to complete 6 laps wins. It works for one player chasing their own record or two players going head-to-head, each with a favorite character.
The track is meant to change shape, too. Kids can reconfigure the layout and connect the Piranha Plant Slide and Thwomp Ruins track sets, sold separately, to build a bigger course by swapping sections around. It's a great gift for younger kids ages 3 and older who dream about the games — and a reason for older siblings to suddenly want a turn.

Big Smiles and Giggles Came Our Way
I feel the tracks could be more solid. They seem to bend too easily...unlike the vintage tracks. But the track is otherwise a lot of fun. The cars fall off a bit too much and I feel it has to do with the tracks bending easily. But it provided hours of entertainment. I also bought some extra cars and the boys had a great time...a lot of giggles and big smiles came my way. I love that the most.
Great gift idea
We got this for a Christmas present and my son has loved it and so has all of his friends that have come over to play. They all gravitate towards this track. It has held up really well and I love how nostalgic it is for us as parents as well. You can get all of your favorite Mario Kart characters and have fun seeing who comes in first place!
