On the track: City Ultra Shark Car Wash
The car wash in Hot Wheels City has a new owner, and it has teeth. Drive the included Color Reveal vehicle over the ramp and into the shark's mouth, press down on its head and the water changes color as the special paint washes away to reveal the car's deco underneath. Fans of the Netflix series “Let's Race” will recognize the location; the surprise still lands every time.
Lift the shark and the car races down through its insides, visible through an opening in the underbelly, while excess water drains away. Then the experiment begins: fill the next tank with icy cold water and dunk the car to shift its deco again. Want the first look back? Fill the first tank with very warm water and drive through once more. The cycle can run as often as kids like.
Parents, this part is for you: a water catcher in the base keeps the water contained for no-mess play. When bath time for cars is over, park vehicles in the designated spots, fold the set in half and carry it by the handle to a safe spot, tilting it to drain the extra water. The base also has a foam roller, movable gates and a tail-tap launcher for storytelling between washes.

Great playset
Very fun toy. My son plays with it often. He's had it since Christmas 2025. Still works great and my son is very rough. We bought more color changing cars for it. It's large and hard to store though.

What do you do when it’s too cool to swim? I’m so glad I found this Hot Wheels Car Wash. We have played on the back porch with this ALL DAY. I will say I am glad I was able to put it together without the grandson. There were MANY pieces. But the instructions were great, each piece was marked with a letter, and it all just snaps together. Took maybe half an hour. The grandson loves it! I would love to meet the Hot Wheels engineers who come up with these things and thank them!

How does the color change work?

Will water spill everywhere?
