Here is the twist on a classic Hot Wheels afternoon: the car on this track does not need gravity to get moving. The Speed Challenge set hands kids more than 30 track pieces and a 1:64 scale remote-control car, so the builder and the driver are the same person. Lay out twists and turns for a technical race, or stack the pieces toward a high-speed run with an awesome loop at the end.
Because the pieces reconfigure in multiple ways, no two afternoons have to look alike. Today it is a tight circuit around the coffee table; tomorrow it is a long straight that feeds the loop. The included RC car handles both sides of the gate, racing and stunting on Hot Wheels track, then rolling off the edge and continuing across the floor when the course runs out.
The remote-control car operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency, which matters the moment a second RC vehicle joins in: multiple cars can race at once without their signals getting tangled. That turns the set into a real head-to-head test of driving skill and track-building smarts for kids 5 and up. Build it, drive it, tear it down and try a harder layout. Challenge accepted.

Amazing little RC car-FYI! HARD FLOORS ONLY!
I really like these little Hot Wheels RC cars and none of them have disappointed. They have Right and Left turning, Forward, Reverse and even a Boost! HOWEVER it should only be run on hard floors(wood, linoleum, etc.)seeing as they have rubber tires and are not designed to be AWD.
Fun toy for adults too
I don't have kids, I just love and collect hot wheels. When I was a kid the closest thing we had to this was x-v racers that you charge up from a battery pack and they just go straight until they run out of charge. This is much more interesting of a toy I think. This feels a lot like slot carts where you actually need to regulate your speed to stay on the track, but with a lot more fun to be had. This can run on hard floors allowing you to do donuts, j turns, drifting, etc. It gets dirty, but it is serviceable by removing the screws on the bottom. Very impressed with this toy, especially for the price.

Grandson loved it! Car is a very quick charge - fully charged in less than 5 minutes. Very speedy!
Super fun RC toy
Really fun set that we got as a present for Christmas and kids finally opened it up to play. The little remote car is so cool and it goes really fast with the boost! You have to boost to get it through the loop de loop, but can't boost on the turns or else you fly out so it's a challenge for the kids and gets them engaged. Kid can't get enough of it and has kept him entertained for hours. Battery life is pretty good and so far still in one piece.

My grandson love this. It’s a great toy adults would love it too. It works perfect. It’s great fun and easy to use and put together! My granddaughter asked for one too as she loves it so I got her one too. You can even connect them all together for a bigger track , but one is perfect on its own. It’s a great fun toy and works great!! They really enjoyed it!

Yes. The included 1:64 scale RC vehicle is made to race and stunt both on and off Hot Wheels track.
Can two kids race with separate RC cars?
The remote-control car runs on 2.4 GHz, so multiple RC vehicles can race at the same time without interference. Additional cars are not part of this set.
